REVIEWS FROM CONTRIBUTORS
Just wanted to say thank you so much for providing wildcamping sites for motorhomes in the UK. We have just had a wonderful holiday and have used several of your locations. We have a dog so to be able to zoom in and see possible dog walking places next to a location is really helpful. Postcodes are really helpful too as it helped me to plan routes (and an idea of time to allow) between destinations and places we were visiting.
Very much appreciated and I am now going to donate to your PayPal account so you can enjoy a couple of pints on us.
Many thanks again

The Castle Inn Bodium
We stayed there on Saturday night (after booking with them a week in advance). Very hospitable hosts, great food (including a great selection if you are vegetarian). They even offer gluten free bread for Coeliacs. The pub is in a wonderful location, across the road from NT Bodiam Castle, 2 minutes walk to the Kent & East Sussex Steam railway, a wonderful pub garden on the banks of the river and a huge playing field next door for kids and dogs to let off steam!
Pub car park is not large so I would strongly urge anyone to book ahead if possible.
Highly recommended and will return.
Keep up the good work with the website. We would have never known about this overnight stop without it.
Trout pub - Lechlade on Thames
Visited this Sept 5/6 2015
Positives: Field is flat and dry. Pub food plentiful. Good ale.
Negatives: Access VERY tight (you won't get in over 2.5m wide). Site is ok if you are happy to pay £15 for no services except access to filthy toilets and share the field with any event they happen to be running. Having pre-booked, we arrived on a Saturday afternoon to find the camp field was being used for a Car Boot Sale and a vintage motorcycle rally.
No pitch had been reserved so we were invited to find anywhere we could find!
After parking next to the pub vehicle scrap yard (Cars, vans, boats and trailers) which were rusting away in the undergrowth we went to use the pub garden beside the river, only to find that it was out of bounds (unless we paid)due to a business network function running a barbecue and live music.
Live & Let Live, Landscove, north of Totnes
Just bought my first motorhome in October and found your website soon after. Thank you, it's just what I was looking for!
Reporting in - we stayed at the Live & Let Live pub in Landscove, north of Totnes on 9 Oct. Very friendly & helpful. No charge. Parked in car park across the road. Landlord apologised that there wasn't any food until 6pm! Perfect, I said!! Good pub grub.
Castle Inn, Lydford
14 Dec. Stayed at the Castle Inn, Lydford, west centre edge of Dartmoor. Couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. Dogs allowed in main bar. Good pub grub. Parking to rear of pub, NOT across road opposite where there is a 'no overnight parking' sign, but there is a public WC, which says it is closed Nov to Apr but was open and clean. No charge but space is limited to about one MH as it is also a field entrance and green lane. Can get muddy in wet weather. It's also next to the glass recycling skip, but out of the other window is a view of Lydford Castle about 30 mtrs away
Although this site is based on our experiences of camping in our Romahome Dimension and, previous to that, a Romahome Duo and a Romahome C15 we hope it will also provide useful tips and information for campers using any other small motorhome, large motorhomes, tent camping or caravanning
This site gives you the Midge Forcast for Scotland during the summer months.
Before June or after September they are not seen but in summer they can come out in great numbers
